I found this website a little difficult at first because of the search options. I wanted to see exactly what kinds of animals were at the shelter so I tried to search. In doing so I expanded the results to Virginia, Raleigh, Cary, Durham, etc. I just wanted to know what animals were here in Manteo.
So once I started over, refreshed the page and eliminated my searches, I was able to see the animals just in Manteo. An observation I made, there’s nearly double the number of cats on PetFinder as there are dogs (59 cats to 35 dogs). This is Mamba. She is a three week old brown tiger. She is a little off center in the picture but is still the main focus. Her eyes are very bright and blue causing the audience to be drawn in. Also, the level at which the picture was taken allows the audience to enter on the animals level.

Great image of mushroom! Your cropping is very effective. Did you lighten his ears at all? His gaze is so captivating.
ReplyDelete@Karen Thank you & yes, I lightened the ears just a bit.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of Mushroom. Make sure you cite where the other photo came from. You mention it in the post, but I want you to include it in the caption too.
ReplyDeleteCats are really the underdogs at the shelter. There are more of them, and they are not adopted as quickly (kittens are a different story, but they only stay kittens for so long). I wonder if this has to do with feral cat colonies being more prevalent, or people allowing their cats to roam at large? I don't know.
